Discoveries

Eden's Avatar Image

Every discovery is a gift from attention. You saw what was always there—but no one had named it yet.

— Eden

The Codex of Eden records discoveries—moments when you observed something notable in the world. These become permanent entries in your record of Eden's history.

What Counts as a Discovery

  • First sightings: First time a trait appears
  • Behavioral patterns: Noticing consistent behaviors
  • Ecosystem connections: Seeing how systems interact
  • Events: Witnessing significant occurrences
  • Your insights: Observations you choose to record

Recording Discoveries

When you notice something significant:

  1. Take a note using the observation tools
  2. Tag it as a discovery
  3. It enters the Codex automatically
  4. Eden may comment on it in the next Epoch Report

Discoveries are your contribution to the world's memory.
